摘要

In 1981, a Sassanian silver plate was unearthed from the tomb of Feng Hetu in the Northern Wei Dynasty in Xiaozhan Village, Datong, Shanxi. This paper provides a detailed description and discussion of the production age, artistic style and technical characteristics of this Sassanian silver plate, suggesting that it should belong to the work from the second half of the fourth century to the end of the fifth century. This silver plate is not only the evidence of communication between China and Iran in ancient times, but also a treasure of Sassanian art.
