Newly Discovered Silk Textiles in Turfan
摘要
Turfan was an important intermediate station on the ancient Silk Road, and some of the silk fabrics excavated from here provide important information for the study of ancient Chinese silk technology. This paper introduces the size, weaving techniques, and patterns of several ancient silk fabrics unearthed in Turfan during the 1960s and 1970s, spanning the periods of Qian Liang, Northern Dynasties, Sui, and Tang.
