The Study of Twenty-Eight Lunar Mansions and Zodiacal Signs from the Star Map of the Liao Tomb in Xuanhua

The Twenty-Eight Mansions is an ancient astronomical system in China. This paper introduces the Twenty-Eight Mansions system in China, based on the star charts discovered in the Xuanhua Liao Tomb. It points out that the Twenty-Eight Mansions originated in China, and was created from the eighth century BC to the sixth century BC. At the same time, this paper also introduces the Zodiac system, suggesting that the Zodiac system originated in Babylon, was completed in Greece, introduced into India, and later spread to China with the rise of Buddhism.
