Persian Sasanian Silver Coins Unearthed in Xining, Qinghai
摘要
In 1956, a large number of Sasanian silver coins during the reign of Peroz were found in Xining, Qinghai Province. This paper provides a detailed description and discussion of the age, size, weight, inscriptions, and designs of these coins. It suggests that the discovery of these fifth century Persian silver coins is the strong proof that Xining was a hub of communication between China and the West during that time.
