History of Chinese-Swedish Relations

China and Sweden have a long history of friendly interactions. This paper introduces the exchanges between Sweden and China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the commercial trade between the Swedish East India Company, Swedish merchants and China, and three important Swedish scholars, Sven Hedin, Johan Gunnar Andersson, and Bernhard Karlgren, who made significant contributions to Chinese archaeology.
