Study on Reaction Between Fly Ash and Slag with Elevated Temperature Curing in Geopolymer Concrete
摘要
Geopolymer concrete is known as a relatively new material in terms of replacement in cementious concrete and applied as a construction material. In this research, fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag are used as geopolymer binder. The reaction of binder on fresh concrete and compressive strength with various temperature are investigated. The fly ash in some power plants are used as alumino-silicate resource in geopolymerization. On the other hand, slag is used as aggregate in mix porportion of concrete. The ratio between alkaline liquid and fly ash is also varied in mix proportion. The results are indicated that fly ash is reacted with slag and alkaline liquid with diffirent level temperature. The fresh properties of geopolymer concrete can be improved with an increasing in ratio of alkaline liquid and fly ash. Hence, the compressive strength of concrete also improved with diffirent amount of fly ash and cured at higher ambient temperature and suitable liquid content.
