摘要

Accidental water pollution incidents are potential threats to the local drinking water sources. In this study, a numerical model was developed using Delft3D software, aiming to research the spatio-temporals features of pollutants at Nantong Reach of Yangtze Estuary. This model was validated against field data both in dry and flood seasons, including the water level, the velocity and the phenol content during an accidental leakage. Based on the model results, two groups of warning stations were determined at the upstream and downstream of Changqingsha (CQS) and Langshan (LS) intakes, respectively. They will provide at least two hours warning time for emergency response.
