摘要

The Japanese Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion has warned that the Nankai Trough Earthquake will happen in 30 years with a 70–80% probability and cause a vast tsunami. The tsunami is expected to cause extensive damage to buildings and facilities in the area. And due to the large amount of sediment transported to the land will affect the rescue, relief, and evacuation activities. The accumulated sediment can also significantly impact the function of social infrastructure and people’s health. In this study, the sediment transport models developed in past research used a simulation of seabed sediment accumulation on the Osaka Plain. Differences in sediment accumulation thickness due to the treatment of saturated suspended sediment concentrations are quantitatively demonstrated.
