The Numerical Simulation of the Wave Propagation Based on a New Type GN Theory

摘要

Green–Naghdi wave theory, abbreviated as GN theory, is a fully nonlinear wave theory. Its idea is similar with traditional perturbation method while includes some difference on details. This paper focuses on the working of theoretical research based on the summary of previous studies. The necessary and sufficient conditions that family of GN vertical structure function should meet were derived based on potential wave theory, which provide a basis for the further explore of new GN vertical structure assumption. Then, a new vertical structure function was proposed, which leads to a higher accuracy and wider application than traditional GN equations. Finally, a new GN wave model based on such new vertical velocity assumption was done, and its mathematical model solution was established. The program of such model was finished. The verification was done by comparing the simulation result with the result of Berkhoff wave test. The verification sounds good, which proves a good prospect of its application.
