Analysis on the Channel Hydrodynamics Variation Characteristics Under the Impact of the Whole Island Embankment Project in Brunei Bay
摘要
Based on the measured data, this study aims at the problem of hydrodynamic force variation after the second phase of Hengyi (Brunei) PMB petrochemical project and the whole island embankment project. A two-dimensional mathematical model of hydrodynamic force in Brunei Bay and its adjacent sea area has been established, and the mathematical model is used to calculate the changes of hydrodynamics. The results showed that the increase of the enclosure area leads to the increase of flow velocity in the channel. The maximum velocity and average flow velocity of the eastern channel increased near the enclosure area after the second phase of the project, while the flow velocity at other locations decreased, and the flow direction was more consistent with the axis of the channel. The local flow velocity near the northeast corner of the enclosure area is obviously higher than that before the project, which is easy to cause local scour, and thus, proper protection is needed in the actual project.
