Phase and Amplitude Characterization of Room Impulse Response on the Application of Varied Width Exponential Signals

In this paper, behaviour of room impulse response for exponential signal as input is obtained and also its behaviour for varied width of exponential signals is shown. It is found that the phase response on the application of exponential signal is piecewise linear, and the magnitude response is low-pass filter. Further similarities in the phase and magnitude output of the room impulse response were found for all widths of input exponential signals. By this method, room impulse response is characterized for the exponential signals.
