摘要

An antenna with a flower-shaped frequency reconfigurable pattern for multiband application is developed and presented. The recommended antenna is a patch with a floral shape. Relying on the switching states, this antenna structure aims to resonate for multiple bands of frequency. The designed antenna is built on a FR-4 substrate with a dielectric constant of εr = 4.4 and tangent loss of 0.04. BAP6502 PIN diode is used to accomplish frequency reconfigurability. The flower-shaped frequency reconfigurable antenna has attained optimum return loss and VSWR of −13 dB and 1.3, respectively. The size of the produced antenna is 15 × 15 × 16 mm. Due to its compact size, the proposed antenna is small enough to fitted into a variety of modern electronic devices including laptops and mobile phones HFSS software is used for simulation and antenna parameters including VSWR, radiation pattern, gain and return loss are investigated and presented.
