In this part, we will focus on some advanced polymer materials that are promising and underexplored. We will first introduce functional polymers with supreme mechanical properties including the development of ultra-high strength polymer materials and the application of mechanical response polymers; Then, we will talk about the precise characterizations of the polymer materials including the advanced transmission electron microscopy techniques and the studies of macromolecule assemblies on multi-scales. In the last session, we will discuss the design, synthesis, and machine learning-assisted development of advanced polymer materials in energy storage.
