Wong Lin Ken was a historian and politician of Singapore. His works on the economic history of Malaya/Malaysia and Singapore have made significant contributions to the field and remained as relevant as when they were first published. Wong was the first Asian to hold the prestigious Raffles Professor of History Chair, from 1966 until his untimely demise in 1983.
