摘要

Thongchai Winichakul is an exceptional historian of Thailand, of its history and historiography, and a scholar of Southeast Asian studies. The greater part of his academic career was spent in the USA. His research interests range from cultural and intellectual history of Southeast Asia; history of Siam/Thailand; fields of study such as nationalism, geography and mapping, dangerous history, memory, and society.
