摘要
Leonard Y[uzon] Andaya is one of the leading historians of the early modern period (circa fifteenth century to mid-nineteenth century) of Southeast Asian history. His specialization is on Eastern Indonesia in particular, and the Malay Archipelago (largely comprising insular Southeast Asia) in general. With particular interest in ethnic Malays, or the preferred term ‘Melayu’, his areas of research stretch from southern Thailand, Malaysia, southern Philippines, to Indonesia.
