Kahin, George McTurnan (1918–2000)
摘要
George McTurnan Kahin, an American historian and political scientist, was one of the principal advocates of Southeast Asian studies in the USA. Moreover, he was a strong critic of Washington’s involvement in the conflict in Vietnam. The Cornell Modern Indonesia Project (1954) of which he was founding director (1954–1988) was, and still is, one of the world-class centers for the study of Southeast Asia, especially of Indonesia.
