Electronic Immunization Record for Rural Communities in México
摘要
Information and communication technologies have revolutionized various aspects of life, including healthcare. Electronic Health and Immunization Records have emerged as a crucial tool in developing countries, aiming to bridge the gap between individuals from high- and low-income segments in terms of healthcare access. This project focuses on the design and development of an electronic immunization registry, utilizing a Restful API to facilitate its integration with web applications and mobile apps. The proposed solution aligns with the guidelines set forth by the Pan-American Health Organization and leverages the Mexican national vaccine schedule as a primary data source. One of the key features of this system is the incorporation of a knowledge-based recommendation system. This system personalizes the set of vaccines recommended for individuals at each stage of their lives. By leveraging a knowledge-based approach, the system ensures that the vaccination recommendations align with the specific needs and requirements of each person. By adopting this comprehensive approach, the electronic immunization registry aims to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of vaccination programs while catering to the diverse needs of the population.
