摘要

In conventional Brillouin distributed optical time-domain sensing technology, the spatial resolution is difficult to be reduced to less than 1 m due to the limitation of the pulse width which must be larger than the Brillouin phonon lifetime (10 ns). In the optical correlation-domain system, the sensing distance is only tens of meters owing to the periodic correlation peaks. In other words, the conventional Brillouin distributed optical sensing technology suffers from a trade-off problem between the measurement range and the spatial resolution, and it is difficult to realize the accurate positioning of the measured parameters, which seriously limits its practical applications.
