Photo-Luminescent Materials: Down-Conversion, Quantum Cutting, Up-Conversion, Photo-Avalanche, Core@Shell Nanostructures
摘要
In this chapter, types of photoluminescence such as down-conversion and up-conversion processes are explained with many examples of organic, inorganic molecules and polymers. Also, quantum cutting down-conversion is discussed by taking many examples. Many organic phosphor compounds can show a triplet–triplet up-conversion process. The d and f doped many inorganic compounds can exhibit an up-conversion process. Many energy transfer processes can be observed in core@shell models. Many possible formulations for core@shell are provided. This will help in getting a suitable material for various applications such as energy harvesting, drug delivery, drug loading, light emitting devices, etc.
