Imge Enhancement with Rope Method

It is difficult to improve brightness and contrast levels for both dark images and bright images by using existing image enhancement methods. To resolve this problem, we suggest the ROPE method. Assuming that intensity occurrence and co-occurrence are contingent on one another, the distribution of intensity occurrence is marginalized over the distribution of intensity co-occurrence to produce a 1D histogram (2D histogram). With this plan, global contrast is improved more significantly, and noise amplification is decreased. To counteract the negative impacts of low illumination, the local changes in pixel values for image reflectance are used in the density estimation to define the 2D histogram. To counteract the negative impacts of low lighting, the density estimation is specified as a 2D histogram by taking into account the local pixel value variations in picture reflectance. With this technique, the brightness and color levels of both dark and normal-light pictures can be considerably enhanced.
