PVT-CPC Liquid and Air Collectors

In this chapter, the compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) has been integrated with PVT liquid collector (Chap. 6 ), PVT air collector and PVT-TEC liquid collector (Chap. 5 ) which is referred as PVT-CPC liquid collector, PVT-CPC air collector and PVT-TEC-CPC liquid collector. The water has been considered as liquid (fluid). In all cases, based on energy balance equations, an analytical expression for the outlet fluid temperature, average fluid, absorber plate and TEC top surface temperatures, electrical efficiency and electrical power of PV module and TEC have been derived. Many examples at each step of problems to make better understanding to users have been given. An overall (total) exergy for each unit has also been given at appropriate places. The PVT-TEC-CPC collector under constant temperature mode has also been analyzed.
