Basic Element of Heat Transfer

In this chapter, the basic heat transfer, namely conduction, both natural and forced convection and radiation heat transfer coefficient and the rate of heat transfer have been discussed. The concepts of total heat transfer coefficient, an overall and total overall heat transfer coefficient have also been maintained by including evaporative heat losses. The natural and forced heat transfer coefficient on inclined horizontal and cylindrical pipes with air and fluid (water) with and without nanofluid has also been described. Hourly and daily exergy of solar thermal system based on second law thermodynamics has also been discussed. The detail example for each mode of heat transfer is given in each case.
