摘要
Nowadays, air transportation is one of the significant factors in the social, economic, and cultural advancements of countries. Just like other transportation systems, aviation is confronting various accidents and disasters annually all around the world. This issue makes experts and corresponding organizations continually analyze this industry's safety and proper operation. This research aims to determine the factors that cause hazards and threaten flight safety in Iran. To this end, the mentioned factors in mechanical, environmental, and organizational categories are extracted and evaluated comprehensively by analyzing reports and information on the accidents; after that, the mechanical factors are prioritized using the fuzzy failure mode and effect analysis (FFMEA) technique. When the most important factors were distinguished at the final stage, this study provides some applicable safety recommendations and required actions to encounter these unfortunate occurrences. The results showed that airlines and airports have the most important role in the safety of the studied industry, and also, failures in the landing gears system of airplanes were determined as the most critical risks.
