Safeguarding the Integrity of the Village Form

In this chapter the author proposes a way of thinking about the integrity conservation of traditional villages. By introducing the survey method of the historical landscape persistence of traditional villages and rural landscapes, it has laid the foundation for a qualitative and quantitative management and control method of the surrounding historical environment of traditional villages. Based on the typo-morphological structure, the author can treat the new and the old issues dialectically and proposes a conservation strategy that uses design enhancement-led positive interventions as a means.
