摘要

AI’s recent rise has been nothing short of revolutionary in the ever-changing design industry. Using “augmented intelligence,” which encompasses techniques like ML and computer vision, AI is changing the design process and making designers into team players. It's not just about making a pretty interface anymore; AI is enhancing products, services, and the standard of living for everyone. From real-time item detection for the visually impaired to individualized app experiences, rapid A/B testing, and even the transformation of drawings into working HTML prototypes, AI is revolutionizing the design process and putting the user first. However, in this progressive new age, UX authoring is indispensable. It helps users grasp the complexity of ML by managing their expectations and providing concrete examples of how algorithms function. Further in the chapter, authors explored a new area of UX writing which constructs cognitive frameworks by detailing decision-making procedures, encouraging participation, and striking a balance between simplicity and complexity in AI recommendations. UX writers bridge the gap between machine language and human cognition by considering tone and user context as they craft experiences that inspire trust in AI technologies through empathic and clear communication. However, designers should approach the use of AI with caution and care. ML requires vast volumes of data, expert knowledge, and consideration of moral and ethical concerns. Finally, this piece concludes that the end goal is to employ AI to benefit people, guaranteeing their efficiency and happiness without sacrificing human goals.
