Switched-Boost Modified Z-Source Inverter for Renewable Energy Application
摘要
In this paper, a novel three-phase modified impedance source inverter (ZSI) for renewable energy resources application is presented. The conventional switched-boost modified ZSI has several advantages over conventional ZSI/quasi-ZSI (qZSI), such as, it has high voltage gain, less capacitor voltage stress, and improve efficiency. The main issue with the conventional switched-boost modified ZSI is that it has floating ground. In renewable energy-based solar PV grid-connected systems, solid ground connection is preferred due to certain advantages. In this work, a ground capacitor is switched with the inclusion of a power supply and diode. By this, the common ground is achieved with almost no change in the significant advantages as compared to the conventional switched-boost modified ZSI. The passive components and numbers of switched are also the same. A detailed steady-state analysis, comparative analysis, and simulation are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed ZSI.
