Optimization of Compact Zoom Lens Design for Optical Imaging Systems
摘要
This research proposes a novel design for an 8-X compact zoom lens imaging system that outperformed existing state-of-the-art designs in terms of the visual and quantitative performance metrics examined. In order to select the ideal configuration of the lens design parameters and further improve performance, the novel design was merged with an optimization technique. With quantitative parameters in first-order proportion, the quadrantwise inner focus and zoom lens design can deliver its greatest performance over a focal range of 5–40 mm. The design with optimization stage is automated, making it easier to carry out and produce more, similar designs for testing, which will be used in future empirical evaluations of the suggested design approach. The suggested design system’s performance is measured using the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) and Aberration Curve measurements, which provide an accurate range estimate. The Error function, which quantifies the proportion of how the initial object image was obtained in the image plane, significantly decreases from 35 to 2 over the cycle number. The fundamental characteristics of the optical zoom system are met by this independently developed optical zoom system.
