Future Prospects

The current steel production and melting process is dominated by carbon-based technologies. The rapid development of the traditional steel industry has also brought a large amount of carbon emissions. At the general debate of the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 22, 2020, President Xi Jinping announced that China would scale up its NDCs by adopting more vigorous policies and measures, strive to peak CO2 emissions before 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.
