Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the UAE

The UAE is home to more than 30 oncology centers and clinics. In previous discussions, we have provided an overview of the historical context surrounding the prominent cancer centers in the UAE [1]. In the UAE, a specific definition for a comprehensive cancer center (CCC) does not exist officially. The Department of Health (DOH) has issued general criteria for centers of excellence in Abu Dhabi, which are not tailored specifically to oncology [2].
