Thyroid Cancer in the UAE

This chapter sheds light on thyroid cancer and its prevalence in the UAE. It entails the different histopathological classifications and molecular pathogenesis of thyroid malignant tumors, as well as their grading and staging. Since thyroid cancer incidence has increased in 2021 to become the second most prevalent cancer in the UAE, it is crucial to understand the incidence, mortality, and gender variations among the UAE population. It also describes the guidelines for the diagnosis and management of thyroid cancer.
