Nowadays, the globe faces an urgent need to switch to sustainable and renewable sources of energy due to the rising concern over climate change and the finite supply of fossil fuels. Technologies for producing energy from renewable sources have become a viable option for achieving sustainable development and addressing environmental issues. This edited book provides a collection and overview of the role, advances, and different paradigms that renewable energy plays in promoting sustainable development, stressing both the potential advantages and difficulties.
