Infrastructure’s Influence on People’s Well-Being: Taking Access to Natural Gas as an Example

This chapter discusses the impacts of clean-fuel infrastructure on people’s well-being, or the level of happiness, taking access to natural gas as an example. The chapter compares the statistics from Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS) with the macroeconomic data of China’s provinces, and estimates people’s level of well-being quantitatively using OLS and Ordered Probit models.
