Criminal Psychological Profiling Using a Hybrid Bayesian Network Model

This study aims to closely examine criminals’ psychological makeup and find patterns in their conduct that transcend demographics. The study’s goal is to examine criminal law, theories, and their application in the present-day contemporary world. Crime is described in the penal code as an act of disobedience from socially acceptable norms. Every nation in the globe has a specific set of laws that incorporate moral and ethical ideas specific to that nation’s culture and civilization. Yet, when put into practise using the conventional means of enforcement, these concepts have not produced the expected outcome of crime prevention. Out of the discussed models in the paper, the majority of them have their predictive accuracy in the range of 75–80%. In the proposed model, the predictive accuracy can be increased up to 94.2% providing better accuracy and results as compared to existing models.
