Introduction

This book aims to examine how education contributes to the development of social cohesion and peace in a post-conflict divided society. The analytical approach is a case study focusing on the experience of the post-conflict country, BiH. The issue of education and social cohesion is relevant due to the new priorities of education in the post-Education for All (hereafter, EFA) era, where the focus is on the quality and equity of educational provision as a prerequisite for sustainable development. The topic falls within the academic areas of Comparative and International Education as the umbrella field and related ones, including Education and International Development and Education in Emergencies.
