The Development of Ecological Economy

In China, it is believed that the development of the ecological economy is a feasible path to coordinate ecological protection and economic development, and it consists of two aspects: first, the integration of industries and ecosystems, which means ecological transformation of traditional production processes, introduction of new environmentally friendly technologies, strengthening resource recycling, improving energy and resource utilization efficiency, and reducing waste emissions; second, ecological industrialization, which means revitalizing ecological resources, turning or integrating ecosystem services into primary, secondary and tertiary industries and realizing their economic value through market-oriented means. For decades, China has made many useful explorations in theory, policy and practice.
