摘要

A recognized treatment method for patients with advanced malignant melanoma (with intractable or widespread in-transit metastases) of the limb involves hyperthermic-isolated limb perfusion (HILP), in which a high concentration of chemotherapy drug is pumped into the affected limb. The management of HILP necessitates careful patient preparation, a committed, skilled team consisting of anesthesiologists, surgeons, perfusionists, and nurses, as well as close observation and care during the whole perioperative period. Point-of-care coagulation testing, invasive hemodynamic and metabolic monitoring, and meticulous record-keeping are all part of the standard therapy procedure.
