The Extended Technology Stack of Web 3.0
摘要
Chapter 2 explored the essential technologies needed for Web 3.0, which are crucial not only for Web 3.0 but also for the metaverse. With the arrival of the Web 3.0 era, several emerging technologies gained prominence, some of which were overlooked during the Web 2.0 era. Blockchain, originally used for virtual currencies in Web 2.0, now plays a pivotal role in Web 3.0’s network infrastructure. Additionally, other technologies like smart contracts, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), protocol stacks, and privacy computing are integral to Web 3.0 and have become significant focal points. This chapter aims to explain these newer technologies that hold great importance in the Web 3.0 era, providing insights into their essence and potential development paths.
