Robust Trajectory Optimization for Mars Entry

摘要

A robust optimization approach for Mars entry trajectory generation under uncertainties is proposed in this chapter. The impact of the uncertainties on the trajectory is formulated by polynomial chaos expansion quantitatively. The robust trajectory optimization problem is transcribed into an equivalently optimal control problem in an expanded state space based on the polynomial chaos and robust design theory, which is then solved by the hp-adaptive pseudospectral method.
