Development of Transportation and Logistics in China

Transportation is a key foundation for the operation of the economy and society and an important vehicle of modern logistics services. In 2021, China’s transportation and logistics sector based itself on the new development stage, adopting the new development philosophy in full, and further implementing strategies from the Outline for Building China’s Strength in Transportation and the Guidelines on Developing a Comprehensive Transport Network. This chapter provides an analysis of the transportation and logistics development in China in 2021 from four perspectives, namely, road, railway, waterway, and airway.
