Effectiveness of Multicriteria Decision-Making for Ongoing Construction Projects—AHP Method

摘要

Multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) is a technique that helps solve many crises in different fields by making immediate decisions and problem-solving, especially in civil engineering. This study focused on quick decision-making in ongoing projects and suitable solutions. Based on this conceptual framework, this study fully focused on the 5P in the construction field; they are price, product, productivity, persons, physical challenges and climatic changes and followed its objectives and hypothesis also created. AHP has been constructed as a secondary objective. Fifty valid items helped to create the survey question. It was formed on 5-point Likert scale bases, and survey questions were collected directly as per their convenience; top-level positioning holders responded, and data were collected via interview method and also Google form. SPSS 20 software used for analysis Description analysis among the respondents shows the level of importance of MCDM, ranking analysis shows the physical condition and product leads the top two position of taking quick decisions in the ongoing project. Correlation proves the positive correlation among the variables. Regression shows the relationship among the variables that were analyzed to find the result. The study concluded with the findings of the analysis part and AHP methods for reference. For furthermore study, AHP can be worked in analysis. Finally, study processes that people in the civil sector need higher concentration in productivity and physical condition and climate change are most important to apply MCDM.
