The Impact of Glass Fiber on Controlled Permeable Formwork Self-Compacting Concrete

An innovative method for enhancing the cover zone/surface quality of concrete is the controlled permeability formwork liner (CPF). This procedure is used to remove extra water and trapped air from the freshly built concrete's surface while maintaining microscopic cement and sand particles in place. In this study, the effects of glass fiber (GF) on self-compacting concrete with CPF lining were investigated. To prepare the concrete samples, the glass fiber was added to CPF concrete with various percentage (05–2.0). Numerous ages were detected for the rockwell, rebound and dynamic hardness, split tensile, flexural, and compressive strength test. The dynamic and rebound hardness, split and flexural strength of the CPF-lined self-compacting concrete with 1.5% of GF were greatly enhanced at a range of 92, 75, 56, and 51% correspondingly.
