摘要

Providing adequate housing is a significant challenge for developing countries. In emerging countries like India, only 20% of the population can afford standard housing units due to their high cost. Low-cost housing is an innovative concept that utilizes locally available materials and advanced technology to reduce construction costs without compromising strength, durability, and performance. This paper aims to explore and compare the cost parameters of traditional and low-cost housing materials and techniques. The study identifies locally available low-cost materials and creates a G + 15 residential building model using Revit software to calculate the wall material quantities and cost parameters for Mivan and traditional construction. The research results show that Mivan is a preferred technology due to its quality and time-effectiveness, although it requires skilled labor and may not be suitable for all types of construction. The study confirms that low-cost materials can significantly reduce construction costs and that these materials can be selected based on availability and site conditions. By utilizing such techniques and materials, we can contribute to the development of more affordable and sustainable housing options for those in need. Integrating Mivan technology with precast technology can achieve affordable housing with efficiency and short duration, making it a suitable option for low-cost housing development.
