Ancient Indian Plasters and Mortars: A Review on Traditional Organic Composites
摘要
Ancient monuments are important to the country's culture and must be kept in excellent maintenance to keep the country's culture alive. It is very important to restore ancient monuments that aren't safe, stable, or in good condition. Only identical kinds of Ancient materials are to be used to restore historical monuments so that they look like they did when they were first built. Because the resources that were used before are no longer available, it is important to describe ancient materials in terms of suggesting alternatives to historic substances that are very similar to the ancient materials that were used before. It has been said that some ancient plasters and mortars in India were made with organic composites like plant fibers and animal fibers. Experiments that may have been written up in scientific journals show that the proposed interdisciplinary analytical approach is a good way to predict the materials that were used in Ancient mortars. The main goals of this review article are to figure out what kinds of organic composites were used to make ancient plasters and what kinds of materials are needed to make new restorative mortars and to give an overview of previous research with different types of analysis.
