A Multi-phase Field Framework Application to the Study of the Peritectic Reaction for an Arbitrary Material System

摘要

The peritectic reaction is often found in the phase diagrams of magnetic materials. To numerically capture such systems involving multiple phases, multi-phase field modeling is used. However, the numerical implementation of multiple-phase field models involves numerous parameters governing the phenomena. It is often cumbersome to choose a set of values for these parameters for specific problems. This work aims to provide an understanding of one such parameter from a widely accepted multi-phase field model by Ohno and Matsuura and study its impact on the surface energy of the phases. This understanding is finally used to demonstrate the variation of this parameter for each interface to obtain the peritectic reaction.
