In this chapter, Kenji Kajiya provides an overview of the operations of the Oral History Archives of Japanese Art, discusses the approach to conducting oral history interviews, presents examples that showcase the diversity of the interviews collected, and reviews other activities aimed at promoting the wider use of these oral histories in Japan. Through these discussions, Kajiya highlights the significant contribution made by the Oral History Archives of Japanese Art to the scholarship of postwar Japanese art.
