Investigation of Experimental Data of Linkage Involving Adhesive Joint
摘要
Paper details the formulation of mathematical model based on the experimental data recorded during the experimentation using the adhesive joint of a link of six-link planar mechanism made from bamboo. The study is to investigate the behaviour of a joint made from proper adhesive for one coupler of a six-link crank rocker with one degree of freedom. The broader idea is to examine the feasibility of replacing chemically treated bamboo as an alternative raw material for steel and/or plastic for machinery parts. The present investigation is to test the feasibility of a properly developed adhesive for joining two parts of a link made from bamboo of a machine subjected to time varying load. Formulated mathematical model for the development of appropriate bamboo adhesives as a bamboo joinery material ascertain the appropriateness of replacement of steel/plastic by properly chemically treated bamboo. This evolves compatible adhesives for bamboo structural member’s joinery to replace mainly steel of process machines. In the present research, it is proposed to develop the design of six-bar mechanism with bamboo lap joint and performed the validation based on the synthesized adhesive has excellent physical, mechanical properties and thermal insulation capabilities with excellent cost performance.
