摘要

Industrialization and change in lifestyles result in widespread contamination of water, which in turn lead to an increase in water-borne diseases among the population. Hence, it is inevitable to ensure the quality of potable water. But the existing methods are highly time-consuming, expensive and tedious. Therefore, portable and effortless methods are required for that. Lab on a chip is an innovation that makes it possible to accomplish things on a small chip. It provides a user-friendly platform for water quality analysis without requiring complicated equipment or complex sample preparation methods. Chloride is the most common inorganic anion in water and wastewater that causes severe health risks on a prominent level. The standard chloride detection test is Mohr method. In this work, we focus on the flow visualization of Mohr chloride detection in a Lab-on-a-chip device. Colorimetric detection of Mohr method is clearly visualized in the microchannel.
