General Anesthetic Considerations During Pediatric Cardiac Surgical Procedures
摘要
Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the underlying congenital heart disease (CHD) and the surgical repair is essential for appropriate monitoring and anesthesia techniques. Patients can range from young healthy asymptomatic children having an atrial septal defect (ASD) to newborns with a complex CHD such as the hypoplastic left heart syndrome requiring extensive perioperative hemodynamic and ventilatory support.
