The Epistemic Basis of the Contrast Between Islamic and Non-Islamic Scientific Thought

摘要

Continuing from previous chapters the discussion regarding the field of IPS based on qur’anic ta’wil interpretation of verses establishes grounds for the genuine study of Tawhidi socio-scientific episteme of unity of knowledge spanning “everything” of conscious continuum. We thereby come into contrasting worldviews between Tawhidi epistemic foundation and non-Tawhidi epistemic foundation of the socio-scientific intellection. The absence of the moral-material element in non-Tawhidi worldview, exemplified by the philosophical history of Occidentalism is not sufficient reason for the contrast between these two socio-scientific worldviews. The essential profundity of the Tawhidi methodological worldview is entrenched in its most universal and unique IIE(θ(ε))-model that engages the God, mind, matter, universe, and the Hereafter in a vastly rich treatment that integrates theory with practice in the objective criterion of planetary wellbeing, substantially defined. God is not a commensurate and configurate being. But his universal and unique Tawhidi law is induced in the most extensive and deepest treatment by methodological analytics. Specific examples are provided to prove the cases of the arguments of the difference between Tawhidi and non-Tawhidi frameworks of socio-scientific study.
